What is Public Relations?

According to the Public Relations Society of America

“PR is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics.” -PRSA

To us, PR is more than that. It's about promoting your brand's authenticity to build not just mutually beneficial relationships, but trustworthy relationships.

How is PR different from Marketing?

Marketing is about selling a product, while public relations is about selling a brand. While PR can increase sales, that is not the main focus of PR.

We're all about building relationships and trust with your key publics, whether internal (e.g. employees) or external (e.g. media, customers, investors); earning media placements; and generating buzz around your brand.

Do I need Public Relations?

Whether you have a personal or business brand, good PR is essential to the success of that brand.

In the world of social media and with more scrutiny on brand's ethical practices, it's essential to showcase your authentic brand. Whether that brand involves supporting local non-profits, environmental stewardship, social justice campaigns or any other topic, its important that this characteristic is baked into your brand's principles, and not just for publicity.

Whether you're looking to promote your involvement, or build involvement into your brand's identity, we are here to help.

It is important to note, of course, that PR campaigns can take a lengthy amount of time and investment before seeing any returns, which makes it important to begin now and to sustain efforts over time. One-off efforts can be useful, but likely won't have any long-term effects.
